APERTURE

fundamentals are quickly skipped by many of the young generation in today’s time to mimic professionals that currently trend in various genre’s. whether it’s art, fashion, writing, or film. young entrepreneurs today, quickly cut many corners, in the pursuit of wealth and fame.

carlos de avila, a semi-retired photographer, who currently still teaches at his studio, quickly dismantles your idea of the popular falsification of fame and ‘glam’ that the camera is welded to. then, plants the primal seed of grass root basics for the student to grow out from.

once saying, that ones work is better to be showcased at someones home, rather than a museum, or gallery. his ambient work did well in many galleries located in hong kong, china, germany, and california at the peak of his career…before the digital age took over.

carlos is currently working on a timeless slide-show project to present before a wide spectacle of audience, in the city of angels. while pushing the limits in fine-art photography.
